Communities On The Rise, INC is a Washington DC, community-based organization founded in 2023 by Rukiatu Sesay, a native Washingtonian and Howard University School of Social Work graduate. Communities on The Rise (COR) advocates for the redevelopment of deteriorating neighborhoods as well as the advancement of historically marginalized children and families by creating a safe, secure, and stable balance between home and community.
Communities On The Rise aims to achieve this goal by increasing Community Culture, Behavioral and Mental Health Services, Family Support Services, Violence Intervention, and Youth Engagement.
